Charlie George was an Islington-born forward of swagger and flair who grew up on the North Bank and lived out every supporter's dream, scoring the extra-time winner in the 1971 FA Cup final and lying flat on the Wembley turf in the most famous celebration in the club's history.
Defender · 1975–1993David O'LearyThe club's record appearance holder. A graceful, unflappable centre-half who served Arsenal across three decades, David O'Leary made a record 722 appearances and bridged two great eras — from the late-1970s cup runs to George Graham's title-winning sides.
